Like with DVDs, the benefit is that you can practice at home, whenever you want. Membership fees are usually the cost of a 1-3 classes at a studio so they are very affordable.
I am a member at a site called yogadownload.com. You can purchase a 1-month membership for as little as $10 so you can check it out. They even offer free 20-minute classes. I paid $90 for a 1-year Elite membership. They are always running specials and sometimes offer the 1-year Elite membership for as little as $60.
I enjoy unlimited streaming anytime, anywhere. There are hundreds of classes in any style you can think of. Classes range from newbie to ultra advanced. There are so many instructors to choose from I never get bored. And they are always adding more.
The best part is that I can download classes to any of my devices and take them with me wherever I go. Classes are available in video format, audio, audio with a printable PDF pose guide, slideshow, or you can create a custom class with your favorite poses. The options are amazing.
Practicing yoga for stress relief is a great way to exercise while alkalizing your body at the same time. You don't have to twist yourself into a pretzel to get the benefits. With so many options for classes, it is something everyone can do for minimal cost.
